In 1955, Virginia Beach Friends School welcomed
its first class of students. For the last forty-six years,
the school has offered quality education in a Quaker
setting to more than two thousand children and young adults.
Virginia Beach Friends School embraces the Quaker belief
that each person is a unique, worthy individual. Our
pre-kindergarten through twelfth-grade curriculum
strives to meet each child's individual needs by integrating
academic excellence and creative expression with emotional,
social, physical, and spiritual development.
The powerful tradition of Quaker education educates
for life while fostering a sense of community and caring for others.

philosophy and how we pursue our goals here at
